Baby Race, Bosco win ROK World Title - Bedrin and Marcon on the podium

It was a triumphant weekend the one that Baby Race experienced in the single-event ROK World Championships at Lonato. The team led by Sandro Lorandi was crowned champion in the OK Junior category with Luca Bosco, who was an undisputed leader in the heats and Final. It was a remarkable strength test for the young Italian pilot, who did not give a single chance to his opponents. It was a good reward for a guy who, besides being fast, always proved to be a serious professional. For Baby Race, this event brought satisfactions in the Shifter ROK series too as Nicola Marcon took a deserved second place. The same position was also secured by Nikita Bedrin in Mini 60. The Russian, however, had been leeding the Final, and was beaten by the American rival Connor at the very last corner.

Here we come to other drivers lined-up by Baby Race. In the Super ROK, Nicolas Varrone entered the Final and got a good 13th place. In OK Junior, the Famularo twins distinguished themselves: Alessandro, sixth after the qualifying heats, finished eighth in the Final while Anthony, 28th after the QH, became the protagonist of a spectacular comeback that saw him cross the finish line in 13th position. Ignacio Montenegro did not get to the feature Final and settled for 10th place in the trophy Final with the fastest lap. Too bad for the Argentine, who was fast all the time but fell victim of various penalties. Alexey Brizhan was unlucky too. A technical issue in qualifying saw him plummet to the last positions preventing him from fighting back..

In the Mini 60, alongside the aforementioned Bedrin, there was the 16th place of Max Popov and the 17th of Alessandro Cenedese. The Italian was among the absolute stars although some contacts prevented him from fighting on top. Brando Badoer was constantly among the best in the heats, but slipped back due to a spin in the feature Final, ending in P26. In the trophy Final, for drivers who did not get to the feature, Diego Contecha delivered a great sixth place while Manson Logan was just as impressive in P8. A contact dropped Morgan Carson down to P32. Alex Powell, Noah Baker, Thomas Escamilla and Paul Bocuse did not qualify.
