Baby Race brings home multiple trophies at Margutti event

Baby Race experienced a sensational weekend at Trofeo Margutti. The team, owned by Sandro Lorandi, scored trophies in all classes by winning in OKJ and securing podium finishes in 60 Mini and OK.

Andrea Rosso confirmed his great moment of form by cruising to win in the OK Junior final after having ended up the pre-final in P2. The Piedmont-based driver performed without a hitch and added yet another victory to his tally. Alexey Brizhan experienced a great weekend too as he rounded out the top-10 in qualifying and was P8 in the final. On the other hand, Luca Bosco suffered from a tough break after setting the fastest laptime of qualifying. He was forced to start last in the final by mechanical issues but he recovered smoothly up to the 13th place.

In 60 Mini, Nikita Bedrin and Alessandro Cenedese were the stars of the day and were holding first and second place at the last lap of the final. At the end of an extremely hard-fought run, rival Alfio Spina got the nod: Bedrin crossed the line just 0.031s adrift in second, followed by Cenedese. Bedrin has secured victory in the pre-final while Cenedese had ended up fourth. It was a bit of a pity for Brando Badoer who retired in the pre-final due to a contact. He then recover up to the 21st place in the final.

There were great expectations in the OK class for the debut of Jack Finlay Kenneally and the return of Marzio Moretti after dealing with flu. The British racer, who was sixth in pre-final, cruised to the third step of the podium in the final. Moretti, who ended up third in pre-final, grabbed fourth place in the feature run. Edoardo Morricone took P13 in pre-final but broke his chain on a kerb while battling his way through the final and was forced to retire.
