Baby Race has successful run in Sarno Italian Championship round

It has been a more than positive weekend for Baby Race at Sarno in the second round of the Italian Championship. The Brescia-based squad collected one win plus multiple podium finishes and is back with first and second place in the OK Junior standings.

In the 60 Mini category, Conrad Laursen scored a third and a second place in the two finals revealing himself as one of the stars of the weekend. Alessandro Cenedese kept the pace of the Dane with a fourth place in the first final and a P13 in the second due to a contact at the start. Rashid Al Dhaheri did really well in the heats but lost his position when his kart was found 0.2kgs underweight. The young driver from the Emirates didn’t back down and accomplished a great recovery in the first final up to P12, before finishing 22nd in the second. Brando Badoer put up a positive showing too by taking ninth and seventh place in the finals showing consistent growth. Maximilian Popov reached the finals too in a promising showing finishing 28th and 15th respectively. In the 60 mini class standings, Cenedese is sixth and Badoer is ninth.

In OKJ, Alexey Brizhan and Luca Bosco put together two brilliant performances. With a third and a second place respectively in the two finals, the Russian is comfortably holding the Italian championship lead in the class. Bosco, fourth and third in the two finals, did well too and is now second in overall standings.

In the 125AK, Baby Race lined-up with a strong Edoardo Morricone who won the first final in authoritative fashion before ending up 17th with an off in the second. Morricone is now third in overall points.

In the Entry Level class, Francesco Lorandi took P7 in both the Pre Final and the Final.
