Bedrin, Rosso lead WSK Super Master Series

In the third round of the WSK Super Master Series, held last weekend La Conca, Baby Race retained their championship lead in the OKJ class with Andrea Rosso, while Nikita Bedrin secured the overall lead in the 60 Mini category.

In OKJ, Bedrin took third place at the end of an hard-fought final. The Russian, who was suffering from rib pains, scored second place in the PreFinal B and battled for victory throughout the whole Final. Enzo Scionti, who was at his first run with Baby Race, also experienced a positive weekend. After ending up P8 in the PreFinal, he stayed among the leaders although he faced tough luck in the Final. The same went for Alessandro Cenedese, who scored P11 in the PreFinal, and Rashid Al Dhaheri who ended the same heat in P12. In the feature run, contacts and penalties brough Scionti, Cenedese and Dhaheri to the back of the pack. Capping the weekend in-style, Bedrin cruised to the series lead with 209 points, followed by Minì (201)

In the OKJ class, Andrea Rosso lined-up at La Conca as the leader, but was forced to be the chaser right away due to a first-lap contact with one of his opponents in the heats. With patience and skills, he recovered positions ending up both the PreFinal B and the Final in fourth. The Piedmont-based Baby Race driver still leads the championship with 219 points versus the 164 of Marseglia. Luca Bosco also delivered a great comeback after a mistake in qualifying. After ending up the PreFinal A in seventh, he was forced to retire due to a contact in the Final. Paul Aron, who ended up third in PreFinal B, was also involved in a contact during the Final. Alexey Brizhan completed the Final in 22nd place. Last but not least, Edoardo Morricone, the only Baby Race driver in OK, crossed the line in P18.
