Italian Karting Championship - Adria - Baby Race wins in OKJ with Moretti

It's been a sensational weekend for Baby Race at Adria, in the third round of the Italian Karting Championship. The Italian squad brought one driver to the podium of each of the finals. A result that was capped with a win by Marzio Moretti in race 2 of the OK Junior class. Right after returning to the Baby Race family, Moretti (pictured) entered both finals at Adria, scoring a second place in race 1 before cruising to an outstanding victory in race 2. Also in OKJ, the Baby Race banner was held high by Edoardo Morricone and Lorenzo Ferrari, who scored fourth and fifth place in race 1 while Perdana Minang ended up 12th. In race 2, Ferrari took a fourth place and Minang improved up to P8 while Morricone retired halfway through.

In the KZ2 category, Baby Race lined-up the lone Leonardo Lorandi. The 15-year-old Italian brought home two trophies ending up second in race 1 and third in race 2. It was a great preparatory job for him as he now looks forward to the final round of the European Championship scheduled for the end of the month at Genk.

Two podium finishes also came from the 60 mini class. In race 1, Nicolò Cuman scored second place while Alessandro Cenedese, who had finished P7 in race 1, rounded out the top-3 in race 2. Also in race 1, Tikhon Kharitonov, Rashid Al Dhaheri and Diego Contecha took position 27 to 29. In race 2, Cuman scored 6th place while Kharitonov, Contecha, Al Dhaheri and Bosco ended up 20th, 24th, 29th and 32nd respectively. On the other hand, Vittorio Catino did not make it to the finals.

Last but not least, Francesco Lorandi was among the stars of the Entry Level class, grabbing a great fifth place in the final.
