Lorandi jr crashed out of Bahrain's CIK FIA World Championship

The run of Leonardo Lorandi in the CIK FIA World OK Championship ended up in an unexpected disappointment in Bahrain. After a brilliant performance in the heats, the 16-year-old Baby Race driver was second in Pre Final 2 when he was punted by another contender on lap 9 and then penalized by race control. The crash was so hard that Leonardo’s engine split in half. Prevented from taking part in the final, Lorandi accepted his fate in a weekend where he had showed stunning potential. Presley Martono held the Baby Race banner high by ending up the Pre Final in P12 before finishing the feature race in 18th place.

Only Perdana Minang qualified for the OK Junior final. After finishing 13th in Pre Final 1, Minang ended up 30 in the Feature. In Pre Final 1, Danny Carenini finished in P23. in Pre Final 2, Edoardo Morricone ended up 22nd while Marzio Moretti took 27th due to ballast from a penalty. Noah Watt and Alex Huang did not take the start.
